Provide the person with a biographical background: gender, age, marital status, and any additional information you think would be useful for making a diagnosis of the disorder. 2. Give the person specific symptoms related to the disorder you selected.

Here are some tips when writing your posts:

1. Include the question and then your answer.

2. You should cite your sources, including the text (Myers & DeWall, 2021), my lecture notes (Chapter 1 lecture notes), or websites. You should cite at least 1 source in your answers.

3. You are encouraged to include images as well as websites that you find helpful in understanding the material.

4. Your answer should be at least two to three paragraphs long and it should be original. You will not receive full credit for repeating what someone else has said.

5.     In your reply to a classmate, you should first address your classmate by their first name, and then respond to the post with another example, question, idea, or related concept. Simply agreeing or disagreeing is not enough.

Prompt

Part 1. For your initial response, you will describe a person (give the person a fake name – do not include someone you know) who has the personality or psychological disorder you selected by completing the following:

1. Provide the person with a biographical background: gender, age, marital status, and any additional information you think would be useful for making a diagnosis of the disorder.

2. Give the person specific symptoms related to the disorder you selected.

3. Make sure you have sufficient information in your description to allow for a diagnosis of the disorder by one of your classmates.

4.     Do not disclose the psychological disorder you are trying to demonstrate in your initial response.

Part 2. Post a response to two other students by providing a diagnosis for the person each student has described. Each diagnosis should include an explanation of why you believe this is a proper diagnosis using concepts you are learning or have found through research. Also, describe some different reasons for the causes of this type of disorder. Be sure to check back in on your own initial post to see how your classmates are doing. Feel free to ask them questions or to add new facts to help guide them to the answer.
