Health disparities are inequalities prevalent in healthcare, which often involve lack of access across various racial, ethnic and socioeconomic populations. Health disparities encompass an unequal distribution of social, political, economic, and environmental resources, especially among vulnerable populations. As a result, a number of local, regional, and national policies have been introduced to address health disparities to promote quality care and improved access for these populations.
