For your assignment, you will have to design a floor plan in a restaurant space, that meets the requirements of a client. You may use any floorplan design app that you would like. Keeping in mind that we are planning to host an event in a restaurant, which will have some existing permanent items that you will be required to incorporate and make note of in your diagram. (bars, tables, chairs etc)
Follow these steps closely:
Step 1: Select a scenario from the below options.
Step 2: Complete a restaurant floorplan to meet those requirements, and be sure to include the
following:
• Layout selection matches client requirements and requests
• All noted information is included and accounted for – AV, F&B, Décor, Special requests etc
• Staff and guest flow is accounted for (tables not too close, not blocking doors)
⚫ Items are labelled and approximately to scale
⚫ noting of permanent items in the existing restaurant space, le bar, entrances, kitchen door, washrooms, fire exists, piano etc.
Step 3: Write a paragraph defending your decisions on why you chose the certain set up style and layout, and how it works for what the client requested.
