There are two components to this discussion prompt:
Component 1
You are working to implement supply chain management decisions in your organization, and a key stakeholder asks you to explain supply chain management to them. What would be the best answer to explain supply chain management to someone who doesn’t know anything about it? Assume your peers as your stakeholders when you respond to this component of the discussion question.
Component 2
Next, you will be divided into two groups based on the first letter of your last name (i.e., A-K will post in favor of the cycle view of supply chain processes being the most critical component, L-Z will post in favor of push/pull being most critical.)
While there are generally two perspectives of supply chain: cycle view and push/pull, you are assigned to argue for your prime objective as most important. Students with the first letter of their last name A-K will post in favor of the cycle view of supply chain processes being the most critical component, L-Z will post in favor of push/pull being most critical.
Peer responses should address competing facts, figures, and assumptions to those students who posted for the opposing expert.
