PART 1 – refresh/edit Module 1 PLS (submitted 3/3) as appropriate 1.5 pts
What does leadership mean to you? How would you define yourself as a leader?
Consider your “Personal Mindset Assessment” results. What learnings did you get that will help you as you develop as a leader?
PART 2 – refresh/edit Module 2 PLS (submitted 3/3) as appropriate 1.5 pts
You’ve been introduced to the concept of mindfulness. What role can a practice of mindfulness play in your leadership development? What could this look like?
Now overlap the concept of emotional intelligence (EQ). How does EQ impact the effectiveness of a leader? How can you personally increase your EQ?
PART 3 – refresh/edit Module 3 PLS (submitted 4/14) as appropriate 1.5 pts (be sure to attach your LCP graph when you submit)
Reflect on your Leadership Circle Profile results from Module 2. Which Reactive Tendencies (bottom half of LCP circle) of yours do you believe you need to focus on? Explain.
What actions can you take to help address your reactive tendencies (from your LCP) that you shared in question 1? Be specific in defining your actions and consider relating them to situations as appropriate. Keep in mind the concepts we’ve explored: receiving feedback or coaching, listening deeply, shifting your mindset, etc.
PART 4 – refresh/edit Module 4 PLS (submitted 4/14) as appropriate 1.5 pts
Consider the feedback you have given and received in recent weeks. What have you learned about your strengths and challenges in your feedback skill level? What do you need to continue to develop?
Reflect on the concepts of power and influence. Briefly discuss your perspective on your current level of power and influence in your work and life. Is this level satisfactory to you? How may your response tie into you being in an MBA program? (Note: for the final PLS paper, you will integrate many of the topics from this class and discuss your MBA journey).
PART 5 – Integration 5 pts (again, be sure to attach your LCP graph (the circle) when you submit your paper)
Thoughtfully integrate your learnings from all aspects of this class. Create your leadership development plan that includes your reasoning. If you want (you don’t need to), you can create your plan using a tabular format. Here is a table format example that was created by a former student LDP example for final PLS.pdf
Actions
PART 6 – Making the most of your MBA 2 pts
How will you maximize this MBA journey? For example: interview someone inside and outside my org for every class, or meet 2 new people in every class
PART 7 – Questions to consider 2 pts
What questions do you want to carry forward and revisit regularly? For example: “What tendencies show up when I am under stress? How can I navigate the situation more skillfully when this occurs? What strengths will help me do that?”
Criteria
Your papers will be evaluated based on:
How thorough you are in describing your responses to the question prompts
How well you integrate course concepts
How reflective the paper is of your own thinking and analysis (vs. simply restating or paraphrasing others’ ideas), and
The extent to which the style, formatting, and writing is clear and professional.
Be sure to submit the LCP graph and use references if appropriate.
Your paper will be evaluated based on how well you answered these questions and the overall quality of content.
Final papers will be 12 -15 pages in length and include all the “Part” sections listed above (1-7).
All papers will be double-spaced, using 12-point font and 1-inch margins. Microsoft Word is the preferred format. You must follow APA writing guidelines
