Submit a 1-2 page reflection on how directors and cinematographers shape acting

Submit a 1-2 page reflection on how directors and cinematographers shape acting in film using cinematography or production design. Choose from Akira Kurosawa’s Rashomon (1950) OR Ulu Grosbard’s Georgia (1995). Both are on The Criterion Channel; click the hyperlinks to read more about them.
This questions should help frame your response:
How does mise-en-scène frame acting choices?
Are there examples of typage, theater, or Method acting in your film?
Do not use terms like “personally,” “I think,” “I feel.” Treat reflections as if they were very short essays. You’re not writing a review of these films, therefore do not share how these films impressed you; don’t refer to the “gorgeous cinematography” or “incredible acting.” Avoid a casual, chatty, gossipy tone.
Review the credible source guidelines.
