This needs to be combined and fixed to include certain points. This is for nursing and psychiatric nursing.

Currently, I am attending Southern Utah University RN to BSN program. I graduated as a registered nurse with my associates degree in 2017. My long term education goal is to become anAdvanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN.) I view my educational goals as stepping stones. I plan to accomplish getting my bachelors degree in 2026. After, I graduate from Southern Utah University,, ideally I would like to have started working as a nurse in the mental health field to gain more experience. Finally while working, I plan to continue my education to work as mental health psychiatric nurse, eventually opening up my own facility to support my community mental illness and substance abuse needs.. This is an enormous goal but with commitment and diligence, I have absolutely no doubt I will accomplish it.
My communication, people-centric nature, and compassion have afforded me excellent interpersonal skills. In addition to my registered nursing skills, I have a passion for recovery and mental health. I am part of the recovery community and assist people daily on achieving and maintaining a clean and sober lifestyle. I sponsor women, chair meetings, and have a wide knowledge base on addiction and recovery. I am excited to contribute my talents and proficiency in collaboration toward a career. As an engaging communicator with a proven track record in patient advocacy, my focus on building strong professional relationships has been a beneficial asset throughout my career. My previous experience working as a Registered Nurse and working in the recovery community has given me strong mental health and substance abuse experience and problem solving skills. Working in this field is more than just a career, it is my passion and fulfills me personally Add single mom. Addiction and mental illness abuse survivor that I have over come myself. I love to help people and have a knack for this population. Having been through various trauma and substance abuse issues myself, I have an amazing ability to reach people on a different level with compassion concern and love they need.

Also grew up in drug and alcohol abuse home.

Growing up in poverty, I know what it means to work hard for what you want. My family struggled to make ends meet and therefore we did not have much. Some winters I went without a winter coat and Santa never came to my house. I was judged by my peers for my hand me down clothes and lack of confidence. Not every person is as their cover. Everyone deserves an equal chance without discrimination. My childhood, although not glamorous, it has shaped me into who I am. My childhood has taught me to have strength and to push through even when life gets tough. I am the most determined, driven, and caring woman that I know. I know that life takes hard work, dedication and perseverance because I have processed these qualities to climb to where I am now, from where I came from. These qualities in turn will help me accomplish all of career goals and dreams of becoming a nurse.
Nursing for me is more than a passion, it is what I was born to do. I love to care for people: talk to them, educate them, feed them, heal and be an advocate for them. Nursing for me is about changing lives by providing compassionate care. It is not just a career but the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people. Throughout my life, education, and career there is no doubt that some days will be absolutely amazing while other days will be chaotic and discouraging. Some days I will love my job and know exactly why I chose this profession while other days I may secretly sob when it gets too tough. Life takes turns in different directions than expected, as I have witnessed throughout my lives journey. The bottom line is no matter what the day may bring, there is always a new day, and the goal for me remains the same; it is to strive to be the student that pushes on and overcomes all obstacles, to make an impact each day by being the nurse that every patient deserves regardless of the situation, and to be the person who believes in themselves enough to finally accomplish their dreams and goals in life.
