Successful teams pursue a consistent strategy that targets profitable market segments in each of the three regions and is robust in the face of changing circumstances in the industry and wider global environment.

By the end of round 5 each team should have established a clear strategic position and be managing their company effectively. Depending on strategic and tactical choices there may have been early winners and losers. What is your strategic intent over the next 3 rounds and what will be the result for your shareholders?

Strategic Review Presentation

You are to present a strategic review of your company that includes:

  • your performance over the past 8 years and your forecast for the next 3 years
  • an assessment of your internal resources and dynamic capabilities
  • an analysis of wider business environment and your industry environment including the markets that you serve
  • an evaluation of your strategy process and competitive position in the industry including:
  • investment in R&D and products
  • investment in production facilities 
  • production strategy
  • use of outsourcing
  • supplier strategy
