Part 1 – Imagine you are consulting for a local business aiming to expand globally. Select a company of your choice and evaluate two possible countries for expansion by designing and presenting a conceptual external macro environment analysis framework for each, highlighting the key opportunities and threats. Compare the two-framework analysis, explain your decision process for selecting one country

Part 2 – Once you have chosen a country, select one sudden shock from the following list and relate it to your discussion: (consumer demand for your core product drops suddenly due to shifting tastes), (your most skilled employees resign and move to a competitor abroad), (a critical technology you rely on becomes obsolete or unavailable), (the company’s brand faces reputational damage in the new market), (a competitor launches a disruptive new business model that undercuts your advantage), (the government delays or blocks your business license/permit), (distribution channels in your chosen country become unreliable), (your business model no longer fits consumer expectations in the new market), (a logistics partner doubles their fees without warning, straining costs), or (customer reviews on social media go viral and damage brand trust). Using your knowledge on the management functions, explain how you would respond to this disruption, showing how each function can be applied to manage the situation and explain which management function you would prioritise first and why in response, providing reasons for your choice. Finally, evaluate the nature, characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of two different business entity types for the expansion, and recommend the most appropriate form, showing how legal responsibilities shape managerial decision-making. Throughout your essay, you must demonstrate academic research, critical thinking, critical writing and accurate referencing to support your analysis and recommendations, and show how your reasoning adapts as the business environment changes. Demonstrate this by incorporating a relevant theory and atleast 10 academic references from the field of business management.
