By utilizing some of Looker Studio’s built-in fictional datasets you are required to create customized useable data dashboards & visualizations and extrapolate relevant KPIs from the visualizations.

The report should include the following detail:  Using the Looker Studio tool, you are required to analyze data sets from Google Analytics and other sources if needed and identify valid & relevant data.  By utilizing some of Looker Studio’s built-in fictional datasets you are required to create customized useable data dashboards & visualizations and extrapolate relevant KPIs from the visualizations.  You will provide a detailed interpretation of the key findings.  You will discuss any limitations of the data or visualizations and how these might affect the interpretations.  Run a comparison of Looker Studio and another BI tool of your choice. Your report should include the following: Introduction to the business and a summary of their key activities: • What industry do they operate in? • What do they sell? • Who is their target market? • What countries do they sell to? • What are their current goals? Data summary and analysis 1. Using Google Looker Studio create 2 custom dashboards for areas of your choice (e.g. Marketing, Sales, IT, Management, social media, Campaign Reports etc are some examples) within the business. Using visualizations build the dashboards by adding a variety of charts & tables for the important reports. Ensure there is a variety of chart types and include tables also where appropriate. Include at least 5-6 per dashboard. 2. Customize some of your reports and add them to the dashboards. Use a variety of report types and create visually appealing dashboards to present the data. You may need to create dummy data where deficits occur. Use CSV files or google sheets where appropriate. Ensure the dashboard is easy to interpret. 3. For each of the 2 dashboards list some of the important reports and KPI’s you are monitoring and explain in detail why they were chosen. 4. Provide a detailed interpretation of the key findings from your two dashboards. Examples for a marketing dashboard include:  Which marketing channel is performing best and why?  What is the impact of seasonality on sales or traffic?  How can the company optimize its marketing budget based on your findings? 5. Discuss any limitations of the data or visualizations and how these might affect the interpretations. 6. Suggest strategic recommendations for the company based on your analysis. 7. Compare Looker Studio with another Business Intelligence tool of your choice that could be used for digital marketing reporting for your chosen company. Discuss the merits of each and any limitations they have also. Include areas like data sources/integrations, customization, scalability, features, pricing and any other relevant information. Include references. **Include research and references where appropriate to support your answers** Please include a cover page and table of contents in your report. Your cover page should include word count, group names and your student number.
