teams.
LO4: Discuss the role of Resilience and Personal Responsibility in the work
environment.The World Trade Organisation has hired some graduates to work in their business
functions. The graduates have little or no experience in the World of Work. You will
need to prepare a presentation to help them understand the fundamental areas and
skills needed to work in each department.

You are required to work in a group of 4 (minimum 3) to cover the following in your
PowerPoint presentation:
1. Introduction (5

2. Describe the following business functions and explain the skills required to
work in each team:
 Finance (15 Marks)
 Operations (15 Marks)
 Information Technology (IT) (15 Marks)
 Human Resources (15
Marks)

3. Describe resilience and personal responsibility and discuss their
importance in the workplace. (30 Marks)

Group Presentation Instructions
1. Form a group of 3 or 4 with your other classmates. Prepare a PowerPoint
Presentation to be presented to the interns at Tadco Ltd. You are required to
give your tutor all group member names.
2. All group members must contribute to the group presentation.
3. Elect a Group Leader for your group. The Group Leader will submit the
group PowerPoint presentation (All group members full names must be
on the first slide of the PowerPoint presentation). The other members in
the group will only submit an A4 Microsoft word cover page each with
their Full name, Student ID number & Module Code, Module Title and
other group member names.

Declaration: At the end of the assessment you should also include a declaration of any
software tools including Generative AI (GAI) applications that you used in developing
and completing the assessment.
Level 3 – It is expected that the Reference List will contain at least five sources. As
a MINIMUM the Reference List should include three academic books.

Specific Assessment Criteria/Marking Scheme:
Excellent (70%+): There is excellent conceptual understanding supported by a
comprehensive discussion of the literature relating to the study of the world of work.
The presentation is fluent, concise and extremely well written, with accurate citing
and referencing displayed revealing an acceptable standard of the research and
study skills required. There is very effective integration and analysis of the theoretical
and conceptual frameworks and models relating to the employment relationship. This

is supported by thoughtful and incisive reflection and comprehensive evaluation of
the key issues and themes introduced.
Very Good (60–69%): The work demonstrates a very good understanding supported
by a wide discussion of the literature relating to the study of the world of work. The
presentation is fluent and well written, with accurate citing and referencing displayed
revealing an acceptable standard of the research and study skills required. There is
clear integration and analysis of the theoretical and conceptual frameworks and
models relating to the employment relationship. This is supported by thoughtful
reflection and evaluation of the key issues and themes introduced.
Good (50–59%): There is broad understanding supported by good discussion of the
literature relating to the study of the world of work. The presentation is fluent, with
appropriate citing and referencing displayed revealing an acceptable standard of the
research and study skills required. There is integration and analysis of the theoretical
and conceptual frameworks and models relating to the employment relationship. This
is supported by elementary reflection and evaluation of the key issues and themes
introduced.
Satisfactory (40-49%): The work demonstrates a basic understanding supported by
only a limited discussion of the literature relating to the study of the world of work.
The presentation is coherent, although there are some omissions in the text in terms
of the citing and referencing used revealing a rudimentary grasp of the research and
study skills required. There is limited if any integration and analysis of the theoretical
and conceptual frameworks and models relating to the employment relationship.
There is poor reflection and evaluation of the key issues and themes introduced.
Unsatisfactory (39% and below): There are deficiencies or omissions in the level of
discussion and scope of the literature relating to the study of the world of work.
There is incomplete presentation, inaccurate citing and referencing showing limited
research and study skills. The written style lacks fluency and comprehension. There
is a poor grasp of the theoretical and conceptual frameworks and models. The work
shows little or no analysis of the key issues, concepts and frameworks relating to the
employment relationship. There is poor integration of these areas in relation to the
question set.
