Your lead in [1/2 to 1 page] – You might share your personal rationale (from earlier papers) and add a quote or two to focus the reader on your topic and research
The Literature Review/Discovery [ 2 pages] – Reduce Paper 1 to its core content.
The Rationale, Purpose and Methods of Data Collection and Analysis [2 pages] – Reduce Paper 2 to its core. Confirm that you presented a hypothesis or research question to frame and focus your study. You must, however, include all sections sufficiently.
The Results [1/2 – 1 page] – Clearly indicate your Key Results in relation to your One or Two Research Questions or Hypothesis. If presenting a Table or Figure, format accurately for APA.
The Discussion [1 page+] Summarize your Methods and Results. Explain how/why your methods addressed your Research Question(s) and/or Hypotheses. Compare//Contrast Your results to at least one or two previous studies. Cite those studies. Discuss limitations of your Methods and Results. Conclude with take-away for others considering similar research.
References [ A separate page]. Be sure to use the ‘hanging indent’ format.
Appendices [as many pages as you need]. If you have more than one Appendix for your Method and Results, label each Alphabetically (A, B, C…) I.e. – If you collected data with a survery, the physical survey must be included in the appendix. Furthermore, if you have a number or Figures or Tables resulting form your data that do not address your Research Question or Hypothesis, you can include in the Appendices.
