QUESTION:  Liberal democracies are always just one step away from total chaos. Argue for or against this contention .

Hint: In making your argument, please refer to the Political Systems lecture and be sure to understand the distinction between liberal democracies (such as the US) and limited democracies (such as Singapore). Be sure to also understand the general features and moral justifications of liberal democracies. You may also want to consider the conditions that lead to the Tyranny of the Majority, and you may also consider the Democratic Despotism problem—for Democratic Despotism, please refer both to the lecture as well as the additional notes available in the folder on Political Systems in the main NTULearn CC0003 site.

You may use the research material from your panel discussion. However, the poster is an independent piece of work, so you may not discuss, co-plan, co-write or collude in any way with your panel team mates or anyone, to do this assignment. Please note that content from GAI programs, whether directly quoted from and/or paraphrased in your own words, must be properly and accordingly quoted and cited every time they are used. Failure to do so is considered a violation of academic integrity. Please make proper declaration in the “Declaration of Academic Integrity” Form (attached in your poster assignment template) if you employ any GAI programs to help in your poster and submit this Form together with your poster.
