Chapter 12 Content Area Literacy
Traditionally, teachers tried to match the readability of content-area materials with students’ instructional level. Conversely, some literacy experts believe that students should read content materials that represent a range of text readability. (See Section 12-2 Difficulty of Text and Supplementary Materials.) Keep this in mind, if it is applicable, as you respond.
