One of the benefits of educational technology is how it adds to equity in our learning environments. Technology supports various learning needs, including visually or auditory impaired students, limited mobility, ELL needs, and more. There are ways we can enhance our learning materials to meet our students’ needs through technology. Below is a list of technology tools for these purposes:
· E-Readers where learners can control font size, contrast, and even use fonts that aid reading for dyslexia
· Jaws is a software designed for learners who are blind
· Text-to-Speech programs
· Dictation programs
· Interactive Boards and Touchscreens
· Closed captions go beyond assisting hearing disabilities and often address ELL learners who might have trouble understanding the spoken word.

Create a 2-page educational equity plan for your chosen educational environment (PK-12) in which you:
· Describe the specific need that you will be addressing with technology. Include detailed information regarding the diverse needs of your learners and any challenges they may experience with the learning process. Use sources to support your claims.
· Provide a detailed description of the specific technology you will be using to address the diverse need(s) of your learners. Include information about how the technology is accessed and what resources are needed to integrate it into the educational experience. Use sources to support your description.
· Provide a detailed explanation of how you will integrate the chosen technology into your specific educational experience. You should include specific examples of how the technology will be used to meet the diverse need(s) of your learners. Use sources to support your explanation.
· Provide at least five peer-reviewed references published in the last three years.
