Assignment Brief
Choose one of the following events to organize:
- Community Book Fair: Bringing together authors, publishers, and readers for a celebration of literature.
- Outdoor Fitness Festival: Promoting health and wellness with fitness classes, nutrition workshops, and interactive activities.
- Art and Craft Exhibition: Showcasing local talents and offering interactive craft workshops.
Building on your learning, create a project proposal for managing an event that your group has selected. The presentation must demonstrate an understanding of project management principles and highlight their importance for businesses, consumers, and stakeholders.
Key Deliverables
- Provide a clear project scope and identify SMART objectives.
- Identify clearly the five key phases of project management for the chosen event. Develop a work breakdown identifying the main tasks and timeline using a Gantt chart.
- Stakeholder analysis
- Discuss potential project risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them effectively.
Your presentation should be 15 minutes, and each member of the group must participate within this. The presentation needs to be submitted in PowerPoint format. You will need to provide intext referencing on your slides with a full reference list slide at the end.
