Abstracts are sometimes used to propose professional projects, academic or research conference presentations, or other forms of writing when preliminary approval is needed before a larger work is prepared. In this discussion, describe any professional or academic experience you have had with professional or research proposals.

How are the conventions of persuasive writing important to proposal acceptance?
What are the key elements of a persuasive abstract when the goal is the acceptance of a larger written project?
Week 13 Instructions
In Week 12, your initial Discussion Board post reflects on the role of abstracts as a form of project proposal. By the end of Week 13, please be sure to respond to two of your peers if you have not done so in Week 12. In particular, comment on the persuasive conventions of effective proposals. What do you think are the most important elements that you peers outlined? In your estimation, what did they perhaps miss or underemphasize? Why?
