Introduction
This assignment will allow you the opportunity to practice the skills you have learned in this unit by creating a video while role playing with another classmate or peer. The purpose of the assignment is to build your interviewing and problem-solving skills by practicing empathetic responses, furthering skills, engagement, assessment and increase your confidence in your social work skills.
Video #2 PromptThis video will build off the first skills video that you produced. You are welcome to use the same partner and scenario as the first video, but this time the interview will last longer and you will go into more of the assessment portion of the process.
Begin with an introduction to the client, then
explain your role as a professional social worker,
the “agency” the social worker is working in,
establish boundaries and professional limits of confidentiality, and
establish the purpose of the interview is to understand more completely the problem the client is facing.
