Your citations and reference list should be in APA format. EXAMPLE OF A LITERATURE REVIEW FOR ONE KEYWORD Organizational Communication Communication plays an essential role in people’s daily lives. It is a necessary tool to help people learn new things, interact, and stay connected with one another. At work, the quality of communication has a direct impact on the success of the entire company. Clear communication provides employees with the necessary information about their jobs, helps eliminate confusion or conflicts in the workplace, boosts productivity, and keeps the workforce motivated. Rajhans (2009) found that if the employees feel that management is communicating in an efficient manner, it motivates them to perform better and it develops a team spirit, which is very essential for the smooth functioning of the organization. Conversely, poor workplace communication can have damaging effects and cause a series of organizational issues for a company. Miller (2022) mentioned that without clear and consistent communication, employees lack direction, productivity suffers, employee engagement levels decrease, and conflict arises. In business, employee engagement is a huge factor that affects almost every aspect of a company. A disengaged workforce can lead to low employee morale, job dissatisfaction, and poor job performance. Workplace conflicts can result in stress, increased absenteeism, and decreased productivity. Therefore, it is important for business leaders to keep the lines of communication open and encourage two-way communication in the workplace.
