For our Module 7 Reflection Assignment, you will choose one significant music or dance event from your personal life. This event could be a special musical concert you attended, your performance in a recital, the first time you heard your favorite song, or an important dance at a wedding.
First, reflect on this significant music or dance event from your personal life. Describe the event using as many details as possible. Why was this event so meaningful for you? What made the music and/or the dance so important in your life?
Next, help your audience further visualize this significant music or dance event by researching and selecting an example. This might be a music video on YouTube or a newspaper write-up of the concert you attended. Include a link to this example with a brief explanation of how this particular source further captures that special event in your life.
Finally, reflect on how this significant music or dance event says something about your culture, your cultural identity, and your cultural values.
