For this paper, you will compare and evaluate the theology of the Gospel of Mark

For this paper, you will compare and evaluate the theology of the Gospel of Mark with the Gospel of Matthew. You can use form, literary, or narrative criticism as you compare and evaluate Mark and Matthew.  Make sure you include elements from the readings we have read over the past seven weeks as you compare and evaluate Mark. You can use Barclay or McMahon references, just make sure it is clear what you are quoting or using.
Your goal with this paper is to demonstrate that you have read and understand how Mark has written his Gospel, what he is trying to do in terms of persuading the listener or reader, how he understands Jesus and the idea of the suffering servant.  By answering these questions, you demonstrate that you understand the theology of Mark and can evaluate it in comparison to the Gospel of Matthew.
You can write a paper or do a video presentation for your final paper / presentation.
If you do a paper, it should be between 5-8 pages long, double spaced, with a well written introduction stating what you are comparing, what tools (form, literary, narrative criticism) you are using, followed by your analysis of the Gospel of Mark that compares how Jesus in the Gospel of Mark is like or different from the Gospel of Matthew.
You can include the infancy narrative in Matthew, or the sermon on the mount, or other unique elements from Mark and Matthew along with commentary from Barclay and McMahon.
