Green Hotels
You are required to analyse a Green Hotel of your choice.
The Green Hotel must be in the state where you are enrolled (NSW (New South Wales) or NT).
Your analysis will examine the following key areas of the Green Hotel:
human resource challenges facing hospitality managers at the Green Hotelchallenges associated with consumer behaviour facing managers within the Green Hotel
Your analysis should draw on ethical practice principles and selected disciplinary theories.
Your recommendations should refer to any findings within the body of your report.
A green hotel is a hotel that focusses on sustainability in its business practices. It differentiates itself from other hotels with its strong focus of reducing carbon emission, water usage, waste reduction and electricity usage, these types of hotels are trying to reduce their impact on the environment as much as possible. Lately businesses have aimed to become greener by either participating in certification programs or by maintaining memberships in green hotel associations. Green hotel will also be built from sustainable materials and aims to also leave a low or no carbon footprint.
Many green hotels are therefore also carbon zero hotels. Green hotels may be in cities, hotels villages, or remote locations. Green hotels are remarkably like eco-friendly

Presentation (Part 2-10%)
Based on the case study analysis, students will make a 10-minute presentation to the tutor during the scheduled tutorial which summarises the findings and analysis of the case study to the rest of the class. This is worth 10% of the total grade
