Hello. For my college level British Literature class, I am looking for an in depth argumrntative analysis of how the notion of thruth is shown through three sources that I will provide for you. There are also two more sources that you are free to choose that back up the analysis of the first three sources. According to my professor, the essay must be a full five pages long (double spaced in 11 point font) in addition to the title page. There is not a specific word count but the page length is very strict.
From Professor about the topic of the notion of truth:
You might consider
how they define what truth is; how they show people pursuing their own notion of truth; how they
succeed in finding truth; how they fail in finding truth; how they reject the notion of truth; how they
impose their notion of truth upon other people; how they say the truth is one thing but behave as though
the truth were something else; etc.
You should formulate your own thesis — your own assertion about the significance of your
analysis of the texts you have chosen to analyze. Your thesis could perhaps address your own definition
of “truth” and show how it does or does not match that which you find in your chosen texts. Or perhaps
you could compare your chosen texts and assert what you see as the significance of the similarities or
differences you see in their various views of truth. Or perhaps you could assert that one view of truth that
you have observed in your chosen texts is superior to the others. Or perhaps you could connect what you
find in your chosen texts to contemporary moral, social, or political issues that you think are important.
You are the captain of your ship — take your essay in whatever direction you want to take
it.
