After watching We Shall Remain: Geronimo, please write a film journal in which you consider the following questions: How many Apache were left, and do you think that they were a threat to the US government? How did the Apache make their money? How was Geronimo’s family killed? Who were some of the key figures that the US sent in to fight the Apache and how did they proceed? What do their actions show us about how committed the US government was to westward expansionism during this time? Why did Geronimo decide to finally surrender? Looking at how the Apache people were treated, what do you think of Geronimo’s legacy? Was he more helpful or harmful to the cause of the Apache people? Please make sure to explain your answers thoroughly using evidence from the film to support your ideas.
