MICRO TERM PAPER OUTLINE
Microeconomics studies the individual economic-making-decision process. Dividing individuals into two major groups, we classify them as: consumers and firms, Consumers demand goods and services, while firms supply these. Accordingly, we study the consumers demand and the firms supply. Once we are able to identify the shapes and characteristics of the demand and the supply. we then study the market structure wherein they meet. The market structure of each industry is of great interest. After all, the market for tomatoes is different than the market for electricity. Why? Simply put, the profit-maximizing-condition is idiosyncratic and closely follows the market structure. Here, you are being asked to identify the market structure and analyze one/few publicly traded firm(s).
