Module 12 Leadership, Management, and Organizational Effectiveness
Leaders come into their roles within organizations with diverse skill sets, personalities, and prior experiences. There is no single combination of these factors that results in effective leadership. Instead, effective leaders are those who have mastered an understanding of diverse leadership theories, paradigms, and styles and then select from those choices the approaches that most align with their personal philosophies of leadership (Avolio & Luthans, 2016). In this module, students consider various learned thoughts, including authentic leadership, emotional intelligence, and how leadership is different than management.
