There are many ethical and legal issues facing healthcare today. One challenge is providing quality healthcare while also respecting patients’ rights. Another challenge is ensuring that everyone has access to affordable healthcare (Maher et al., 2019). Additionally, there are issues related to end-of-life care, reproductive rights, and mental health. One way to assess the quality of healthcare is to look at indicators such as life expectancy, infant mortality rate, and rate of immunizations. Also important to consider are factors like access to medical care, patient satisfaction rates, and rates of preventable hospitalizations.
