You are a nursing educator at the Hospital Administration Building, where there have been repeated incidents of lateral violence. You have been asked to provide scholarly evidence to support a new policy addressing workplace civility. STATION 2 – Points Possible = 10Attend the meeting in the Conference Room. Locate the Nursing Administrator. Click on her and write down the quote that the Administrator tells you about nursing leadership. There are plenty of challenges with healthcare services. We need a nursing leader who can address these challenges by following the highest standards for creating and nurturing the systems to provide quality services. The leaders should also aim to achieve high level of collaboration across all departments to ensure that the patients receive good quality of services. Therefore, the leaders need to work towards optimization of these services for improving the patient outcomes.
STATION 3 – Points Possible = 15Find the open patient room in the hospital and list out at least 3 of the patient safety violations. There are many issues regarding the environment at the hospital: – the dustbin is full of trash, broken beds, and dirty curtains. The dirty curtains and full dustbins would make the air dirty and harmful for breathing. Similarly, the patient can easily fall from the broken bed and injure himself. This injury may prolong their stay in the hospital and increase the medical bill. To sum this up, the patient is living in dirty and risky environment while clean, safe, and secure environment in hospitals is their basic right. By providing this dirty and risky environment, the hospital is violating this right.

STATION 6 – Points Possible = 5Go to Urgent Care Clinic building and find the Electronic Health Record for the patient that is being seen. Write down the patient’s name. Thomas Edwin SmithActing as the town’s Visiting Public Nurse, go to the poor area of town, locate two homeless men and then discuss two recommendations that you would give them to improve their overall health. You will need to support each recommendation with scholarly peer-reviewed support in proper APA format. Do not state you would give them a phone number or address of resources. Put some thought into your response. Remember these two homeless men do not have money, phones, or health insurance.
As per Toge and Bell (2016), poverty is the biggest reason for the spread of diseases in the society. Poor people often do not know the risk associated with various diseases and the ways to prevent themselves against these. They are also unaware of the nutritarians that they should compulsorily receive as part of the prevention effort. Therefore, it is important to make them aware of all this information through various sustained educational and awareness programs. The authors also believes that awareness about hygiene is very important for homeless people, as they are more prone to catching infections from the external environment.
