In lifespan development, each person goes through different stages from when they’re born until they get older, and each stage has its own challenges. Imagine that we do in fact have two women, one in her late 20s and another in her 70s. The younger woman is in the “early adulthood” stage where she might be focusing on her career, perhaps thinking about starting a family, and trying to be more independent. The older woman is in the “late adulthood” stage, dealing with things like retirement, changes in her health, and adjusting to getting older.
According to theories like those by Erik Erikson, the younger woman might be dealing with figuring out her close relationships, known as “intimacy vs. isolation.”(lally and Valentine-French, 2019)  The older woman might be reflecting on her life, known as “integrity vs. despair,” thinking about what she’s accomplished. Each woman can really help the other. The younger one can learn from the older woman’s experiences, which can help her make better choices and feel more secure about her future. The older woman, in return, can feel useful and connected by sharing her wisdom, which helps her stay positive and active in her later years. This exchange can be really helpful for both as they navigate their own challenges and make their way with their time.Companionship was very major in the video that is something that gives people comfort knowing that there’s someone there for them. .
