Reflection Papers (25%)
Reflective writing allows you a chance to connect to and engage with the reading critically. Starting Week 3 , students will submit biweekly reflection papers on the novel Homegoing. Students will reflect on the experiences of the characters and how it relates to the psychological concepts discussed in class. The goal is to engage in critical thinking and analyses of the reading therefore please avoid giving a synopsis or summary of the characters. When writing these papers reflect on your initial thoughts, reactions, and feelings. Were you able to relate to the characters’ experience, why or why not? What psychological concepts can be applied to understand their experience? Feel free to use these questions as a guide but your papers must go deeper than the posed questions. The expected length for these papers is approximately 1 ½ – 2 double-spaced page using 12pt Times New Roman font. Do not exceed 2 pages. Please submit your papers on iCollege by Midnight on Mondays. Late submissions will be considered due to extenuating circumstances.
