Business Insight Analysis

Purpose:

This assignment strengthens your ability to connect real-world business events with course concepts, analyze strategic implications, and communicate insights concisely—key MBA skills.

Instructions:

1)      Select an article

o   Choose a news article from The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, or The Economist published within the last 30 days. An example on the last page.

o   The article should be based on one of the 7 topics covered.

2)      Write Your Analysis (3 structured paragraphs, around 300-400 words) o Paragraph 1 – Article Information

▪    Provide the title, author, publication name, and date. Include a working link if possible.

o   Paragraph 2 – Summary of the Article

▪  Summarize the key facts: who, what, when, where, why, and how. Focus on the main issue, not every detail.

o   Paragraph 3 – Course Connection & Analysis

▪  Clearly explain how the article connects to specific course concepts, frameworks, or models.

▪  Demonstrate critical thinking by addressing so what? – why does this matter?

3)      Formatting & Submission

o   12-point Times New Roman, 1-inch margins, single-spaced within paragraphs, doublespaced between paragraphs.

o   Submit as a Word or PDF file.
