Brainstorming for Writing
Selecting the appropriate subtopic for an informative essay is essential while exploring the comprehensive fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). I have thought about the following three ideas as possible subtopics for my essay brainstorming:
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Developing models and techniques for machines to understand, interpret, and produce human language is known as natural language processing (Cioffi et al., 2020). Apps like sentiment analysis, language translation, and chatbots depend heavily on it. In the words of a non-NLP expert, I would describe NLP as the technology that lets computers comprehend and speak human languages, effectively bridging the gap between people and machines.
Ethical Considerations in AI and ML
From algorithmic prejudice and privacy concerns to the ethical ramifications of automation and machine decision-making, there are many different themes that fall under the umbrella of ethical considerations regarding AI and ML (University Of Glasgow, 2021). This sub-topic explores the moral dilemmas and obstacles brought forth by developing AI technology. To introduce this sub-topic, I would explain that it emphasizes the need for responsible development and deployment of these technologies, investigates the moral and societal concerns raised by the rapid advancement of AI and ML.
Deep Learning and Neural Networks
The foundation of Deep Learning, a branch of Machine Learning, is the capacity of artificial neural networks to learn from enormous datasets. Autonomous cars, voice and image recognition, among other fields, have benefited from its advancements. To explain this subtopic, I would mention that deep learning is at the forefront of AI research. It simulates how the human brain processes information solve complicated issues.
Ethical Considerations in AI and ML is the subtopic I would pick for my essay. Because it addresses the possible societal effect and implications of AI and ML technologies, this choice speaks to me because it is a topic of great relevance in the field of AI. Investigating the moral aspects of these technologies, together with their consequences for privacy, decision-making, and the fair allocation of advantages, is crucial in the modern world. My own interest in the moral and ethical dimensions of technology and its wider social ramifications is aligned with its ability to provide a greater understanding of the responsible use of AI.
