Use the template to respond to the following questions:

1. What organization/s did you choose to sign up with so that you may stay informed about policy issues relevant to your interests? Explain why you chose those specific organizations and how their work relates to policy issues of your interest.

3. Describe an issue from an organization’s policy agenda perspective that relies on research data.

MODULE 2 Part 2 Paper on Advancing Workplace and Organizational Polices (2–3 pages)

Complete the Learning Activities in Module 2. View the video of three different nurses discussing three different issues in their workplace.

Choose one of the scenarios and use the CON Writing Template to write a paper addressing the following points:

• What is the workplace issue being described in the video? How can this issue be framed as a policy issue?
• Choose either the Kingdon or Longest model and apply it to the scenario you chose. Interpret the workplace issue as a policy issue.
• Identify three actions that you and your fellow nurses can take to strengthen nursing’s influence in the policy process in relation to the issue you chose. Use research to provide support for your proposals. Be specific and provide examples.
