Assignment Task
This assignment is an individual task.
The design and configuration of supply chain and distribution networks can provide organisations with a competitive edge. The context of industry rivalry, new product development and product characteristics require that organisations pursue supply chain designs which are aligned with organisational strategy. For this purpose, you will examine managing inventory and capacity of the supply chains of your chosen organisation.
The purpose of this assignment is for you to engage more comprehensively with the topic of supply chain and logistics performance in managing inventory and capacity.
Suggested structure:
- Introduction
- Critically examine the supply chain of company. How are the supply chain and logistical processes aligned with the organizational strategy for managing inventory and capacity.
- Recommendation: Based on your analysis, recommend and justify suitable logistics approaches for specific aspects of the company`s global supply and distribution systems. To provide your recommendation, consider current and emerging global logistics trends and practices and their potential issues that may arise.

1.Critically demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the complex organisational relationships of managing inventory, managing capacity and replenishment policies in the context of customer satisfaction and modern global business constraints
2.Analyse and critique a range of current and emerging global logistics & supply chain practices, trends and any subsequent issues that may arise.
3.Critically analyse, recommend and justify the selection of suitable logistics approaches for selected aspects of the global supply and distribution systems of various types of international enterprises.
