Building directly on your Week 4 Check-In, this project challenges you to connect a modern phenomenon, cultural issue, or socio-political movement to its historical origins using a digital medium.
Instructions Submit your finalized digital history project. Ensure your final deliverable aligns with the format you proposed and incorporates any feedback received during last week’s check-in.
Deliverable Requirements Your final submission must include the following components:
1. The Digital Project
Format: A 3-to-5 minute video (TikTok, Instagram Reel, or YouTube Short style), a brief podcast episode, or a structured visual carousel.
Delivery: Upload your media file directly to Canvas, or provide a stable, publicly accessible link (e.g., an unlisted YouTube video or an unlocked Google Drive file). Test your link in an incognito browser before submitting.
2. The Documentation (Word/PDF)
An argument/claim: A sharp, argument-driven thesis explicitly explaining how your modern topic is rooted in historical foundations.
Script or storyboard: The final text of your audio/video script, the text captions, or your notes for creating the digital artiact.
Bibliography: A properly formatted list of at least three sources used to build your project (use whatever formatting style you wish). You must include at least one primary source that speaks directly from the past.
