Each week, the Health Economics and Statistics Department where you are completing your Health Economics internship has a continuing education presentation.  Recently, requests have come in for a presentation on the government’s role in healthcare; and you are designated to design and conduct the presentation on the role of government in healthcare markets.  You determine that the government’s role in healthcare can best be described through a classification system like the one presented this week.

For this assignment, you will prepare your presentation as follows:

1. Provide a general introduction to the topic explaining the government’s role in healthcare from an economic perspective and the potential impact on HEALTH! might be. If you need to refresh yourself on HEALTH!, refer to Week 1 content. In other words, what are the important points you want your audience to take away from your presentation?
