ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

This assignment task encourages you to think strategically about your career development, align your goals and demonstrate leadership potential. It also prepares you for the challenges of management roles by fostering self- awareness and strategic planning skills.

You are required to complete a Portfolio via PebblePad that reflects on your skills, leadership competencies, career goals and aspirations. You must demonstrate self- awareness and strategic thinking for achieving your professional goals.

Your portfolio via PebblePad consists of:

  • SWOT analysis
  • Evidence of communication requesting feedback
  • PDP template which encompasses various sections, such as, self- assessment and reflection, priorities goals and accountability (competencies development), and overall reflection of the Portfolio via PebblePad assessment process.

Part 1: professional behavioural skills.

This part is about self-assessment and reflection. You must start by completing a personal SWOT analysis. To reflect and identify your skills gap and development opportunities. (SWOT = Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). This task is completed on PebblePad.

Reflect on the Professional Development pyramid, or any other professional development model of your choice, and select three behavioural skills (competencies) you would like to develop (e.g., strategic thinking, leadership), and request feedback on these three behavioural skills from 4-6 people from your personal and professional network. For example, feedback can highlight areas where you demonstrate these skills or suggest improvements. This feedback can come from various sources, such as, family members, friends, peers, mentors, current and former employers and colleagues. This task is completed on PebblePad / PDP template.

Part 2: action plan and accountability.

Reflect on the feedback received and outline an action plan for each of the three development priorities (goals) you want to achieve. For each development priority, the action plan should include:

  • Two SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) objectives.
  • How is completion (attainment of goals) going to be measured?
  • Specific steps you need to take to achieve your objectives, along with the timelines involved. (Date by which to be completed)

Overall, you need to demonstrate clear alignment between your reflections, goals, and action plans. This task is completed on PebblePad / PDP template.

Part 3: reflection.

Reflect on the value of the portfolio via PebblePad as a process in shaping your personal and professional growth. Outline an in-depth understanding of the self- development process and how this can be revised and adapted for ongoing development. This task is completed on PebblePad / PDP template.

You must pass all criteria to pass the assessment.
