Interactive Discussion Board #1

This week we are learning how to organize and display data! From frequency tables to graphical representations, displaying data in a way that is understandable to general audiences is an important skill.

For this interactive discussion board, you will:

1. Visit Pew Research Center: Pew Research Center | Nonpartisan, nonadvocacy, public opinion polling and data-driven social science research | Pew Research CenterLinks to an external site.

2. Select a social topic you are interested in (go to research topics).

3. Identify a report with at least 1 frequency table or graph.

4. Once you have identified the report, write a discussion post (minimum of 150 words) describing the context of the frequency table or graph. Be sure to include the question the table/graph is addressing, the variables being measured, and the type of table/graph being used. You should also include the levels of measurement for each key variable. Make sure to provide the link to the report in your initial discussion post.
