Overview
This week, you will explain the issue you have selected to focus on for the rest of the course (addressing student mental health in higher education). In addition, you will describe the use of a learning theory to create an educational activity about the issue and explain how you will follow ethical guidelines for your field of education in addressing the issue.

Instructions
Create a map using the following guidelines.
1. Download the Week 5 Assignment Template Download Week 5 Assignment Template. Use it to create a plan for how you will address an issue in education. If you prefer, make your own map using an appropriate document or software. (ATTACHED AS DOCUMENT)
2. Use the Main Idea area to outline an explanation of your issue, including evidence for its significance and impact on students or education. Cite at least 2 sources you have researched related to the issue.
3. Use the Ethics area to identify an ethical principle that relates to the issue and/or your role in addressing the issue as an educator. Explain the relationship. Cite the code of ethics you have consulted.
4. Use the Learning area to outline a plan of 3 or more steps for how the issue can be solved or improved through education.
a. What do people need to learn about the issue?
b. What topics can be addressed that will improve the problem or situation related to this educational issue?
5. Use the Theory area to identify the learning theory you will use as the basis of an activity to teach students about the issue. Explain why you selected the theory based on the subject matter, student population, and/or desired outcome.
6. Use the Activity area to describe an educational activity for the curriculum you will write in week 10. The activity should be about the issue and should demonstrate your ability to create an activity that aligns with the learning theory you selected.
7. In addition to the 3 sources required above, use 2 sources that are no older than five years to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least once within your assignment.
