This week’s assignment challenges you to evaluate an early childhood program. You will identify key components that contribute to the program’s overall quality and propose areas for improvement. Whether you choose to write a traditional report or create an interactive report or ebook, your analysis should include a thorough evaluation of elements such as curriculum, environment, staff qualifications, and family involvement. Your goal is to
demonstrate your ability to assess a program’s strengths and weaknesses, backed by data
and scholarly references.
Choose one of the following formats for submission:
- Written report.
- Interactive report: Design an interactive report or ebook of five pages, double- spaced, that includes charts, data, and a written analysis. Ensure your report is engaging and visually informative.
In your project,
- Select an early childhood program for evaluation.
- You can choose a program you can evaluate in your area or a video online of an early childhood program.
- If you observe a video of an early childhood program, be sure to include a link to the video you are reviewing.
- Analyze key components that contribute to the program’s quality, including curriculum, environment, staff qualifications, family involvement, and community engagement.
- Propose areas for improvement, using data, references, and written analysis to support your recommendations.
The Assessing Quality in Early Childhood Education: An Evaluation of Program Standards and Improvements project,
