Last week you were supposed to watch the video called “Collecting your student data set” that is posted to Course Kaltura. Follow these instructions and collect the data and enter it into Statistix 10 or an Excel spreadsheet, and upload it here. There will be four variables in your data set: You will choose three vehicle models and label them 1, 2, and 3 (for example: Dodge Charger=1, Hyundai Sonata=2, Toyota Camry=3). You will collect data for 25 of each vehicle model, for a total of 75 vehicles. You will include the mileage of each vehicle. Do not use any commas or figures other than numbers. You will include the price of each vehicle. Do not use a dollar sign or any figures other than numbers. You will include whether the car was manufactured in 2015 or prior or 2016 or later. If it was made in 2015 or before enter a 0 in the spreadsheet, and if it was produced in 2016 or after enter a 1 in the spreadsheet. NOTE: This assignment will be graded for completion only; if you submit a data set, you will receive full credit, regardless of whether it is completed according to the instructions. If you are unsure about your data set and think you may have done something incorrectly, you should attend a Stat Lab session and discuss this with a TA.
