there. For this assignment, students will create a slide presentation that
focuses on one of those phenomena.
The presentation must include the following information:
·
A brief background of the region and its
characteristics.
·
A description of the weather phenomenon and how
it develops.
·
The challenges it creates for the local
population.
·
Tips or advice on how people can improve their
chances of survival.
The presentation must include the following elements:
·
Voice-over slide presentation or video.
·
Facts and data from reliable, scientific, or
peer-reviewed resources from trusted sources.
·
Visual aids such as pictures, graphs, maps, etc.
that help to illustrate points.
·
Minimum of 6 content slides
·
A reference slide that shows sources in APA
format.
Students must cite the sources of all ideas, facts, and information used
that are not their own, even if they have put the information into their own
words. Failure to do so is a
violation of the Academic Integrity Policy, even if the oversight is
unintentional.
If submitting a video, students should also submit a recap
or script of their presentation and a references page.
