Write a brief paper (3-5 pages) in which you:
• Describe your topic and population.
• Provide an overview of the key issues or controversies surrounding an issue affecting children or
adolescents.
• Synthesize and critique relevant research related to an issue affecting children or adolescents.
• Analyze future directions for work in this area.
• Support your work with 3 or more peer-reviewed journal articles.
Part 2
Using Microsoft PowerPoint or another application, create a presentation based on your paper,
which you will use to record a 5-minute in-person delivery of the presentation. The presentation
should inform an interested audience about your topic and your exploration of the literature. Include
speaker’s notes on each slide that indicate what you will say in your in-person delivery.
In your presentation:
• Describe your selected topic and population.
• Provide an overview of the key issues or controversies surrounding an issue affecting children or
adolescents.
• Synthesize and critique relevant research related to an issue affecting children or adolescents.
• Analyze future directions for work in this area.
• Support your assertions with 3 or more peer-reviewed journal articles.
Part 3
Record a 5-minute screen-capture delivery of your presentation using Kaltura or another application.

Your presentation should demonstrate your ability to inform stakeholders via multiple mediums.

• Presentation length: 5-10 slides; 5-minute recorded presentation.
• Title slide: Include your name, course, date, and instructor.

• Speaker’s notes: Include on each slide.
• Written communication: Written communication is free from errors that detract from the overall
message.
• APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to current APA style and
