PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT
This course covers in-depth network communications topics. We start with an overview of network components and advance to TCP/IP addressing and subnetting. We progress to CIDR, CGNAT, intra- and inter-gateway routing protocols, such as RIP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP. Then we examine network virtualization technologies, such as MPLS, VPNs, NFV, SDN. Finally, we finish with IP services, such as IoT, MEC, Cloud services, and 5G. The progression through these topics contributes to an understanding and appreciation of network technologies and equips you with the necessary knowledge to complete your portfolio assignment.
