After your presentation, Sarah Incharge (CEO) and Matthew Ubergifted (COO) had a deep discussion about your team’s concept. Their discussion ended with a preliminary approval of your team’s concept, and they assigned you to serve as the point person for gathering additional information about your proposal. They will use this information to present your expanded proposal to the full Board of Trustees on Friday, July 15.
In preparation for their proposal to the Board, Ms. Incharge and Mr. Ubergifted want you to follow up with the following actions:
First, although they like your holistic and integrated concept, they are concerned that launching all aspects of your team’s concept at one time is unrealistic. Consequently, they want you to write Marilyn Oglesby, the executive director of Health-Ed’s Research and Development Department, and persuade her to devote a minimum of two of her 15 staff to develop a pilot program in targeted areas of the United States that focus on the initiatives individually: health monitoring/physical fitness, mental wellness, nutrition and diet. You are to ask Ms. Oglesby to also estimate ROI on each of these initiatives. Lastly, you will want to have her provide a report on the buying potential and likelihood of brand loyalty for your specific age demographic of young students.
Second, you will want to craft a message to your teammates to inform them of the good news of this interest by the CEO and COO, but also the bad news of our leaders’ caution and reservation about launching all elements of the proposal at the same time. Your primary goal is to keep them enthusiastic. In preparation for the July with the Board of Trustees, you and your team will get re-employed to do the heavy lifting in pulling together the final report that Ms. Incharge and Mr. Ubergifted will present to the Board on July 15.
