This discussion board is worth 20 points. There are 2 parts to this discussion board. To answer the questions, you should write a solid paragraph for each of your responses and you should use and cite examples from the course materials in the Week 13 module and Week 14 module. Please be sure to also respond to your classmate’s posts by Tuesday night. When you can, use examples (evidence) to support your claims in your discussion posts. If you use an exact quote, MLA-style citations are fine: (Sanchez, 89) or (Zinn, 432) works. Be sure to save your work before submitting your responses to the discussion board. You can also review the grading rubric for discussion boards if you like.
Part I: Due by Sunday, May 22 at 11:59 PM PST.
1) From Module 13, describe the LA Times toxic dumping article–the who, where, when, and what. How does it relate to the evolution of liberalism after WW II?
2. Use specific examples with citations from the Module 14 lecture, Zinn’s chapter 24, and the WTO video below to explain why ordinary people were so concerned about the WTO and other global financial institutions such as the Work Bank and International Monetary Fund.
3. Using specific examples from Anita Hill’s testimony (video) at the Clarence Thomas hearings and Rebecca Walker “I am the Third Wave” in Module 14, write about what had changed and not changed for women in the 1990s compared to the 1970s.
