First: Choose a cause which you are passionate about. This cause has few limitations, except that it must be something that you can research and something that you believe needs a change! Examples might be global warming, racism, gender identity, child abuse, animal testing, etc etc.
Next: Research your cause using at LEAST three sources from our LIBRARY data bases here at CCBC. You may also use outside sources but they MUST pass the CARS checklist for validity. Your entire paper must be in MLA form to include format, in text citations, and a CORRECT works cited page. We have reviewed this format in class and it can also be found in Library Learn, or on OWLPERDUE in your RESOURCE section on BRIGHTSPACE. Not using correct MLA documentation will result in a substantial point loss.
Next: Once you have done your research on your current cause, examining the issue, the problems occurring from your issue , organizations involved, etc., you may pick an image that reflects that cause. This image can come from a source that you find like GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, etc, but also must be properly documented.
Next: Explain clearly to your reader WHY you chose this image, and HOW it reflects your cause.
Last: Offer solutions to your cause. You will conclude your paper with a ” Call to Action”, explaining how we as a society might help to solve this issue.
Your paper, again, must be in MLA format with correct documentation. It should be 4-5 pages in length, double spaced.
