DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN ASSESMENT (PAPER):
The purpose of this assignment is to assess a particular organization’s Disaster Recovery Plan’s effectiveness.
The best way to locate a plan is to reach out to organizations in your networks, e.g., your community, workplace, schools, churches, businesses you frequent; but you can also locate actual plans on the Internet. The Learning Activity reviewing AARs is a good background primer.
You will identify and discuss both the positive and negative aspects of the plan’s attention to Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Mitigation. Your assessment must draw conclusions and make recommendations. Organizations which can be used for Disaster Recovery Plan assessment include, but are not limited to: County or City Offices of Emergency Services, your own employer, or another organization with which you are familiar, etc.
You must base your assessment and recommendations using your course materials and/or external resources. Use and cite at least five (5) resources.
The length of your paper should be about 3-5 pages and in proper APA format.
Include the following items/sections in your report:
• Introduction: Organizational information (name, address, and purpose/mission of organization)
• Title and type of plan assessed, and a brief description of plan contents.
• Sections on Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation
• Conclusions and Recommendations
