Team PowerPoint Presentation Introductions & Planning
Purpose: For this assignment, you will be assigned a group to work with to create a PowerPoint presentation on an aspect of the healthcare payment system, demonstrating your understanding of its criteria, parameters for implementation, and its impact on nursing practice. For further project details and the final submission grading rubric, refer to Module 3 Assignment.
Instructions: This week, you are expected to meet with your group and determine:
1. a topic for your presentation
2. each member’s responsibilities.
3. Note: The Group Leader will automatically be assigned. Only the Group Leader needs to turn in the submission for the group.
Submission Instructions:
· Group Leader only: Submit the summary of your group's initial meeting in the text entry box.
o Be sure to include the full names of all group members.
· Complete and submit the assignment by 11:59 PM ET on Sunday.
· Late work policies, expectations regarding proper citations, acceptable means of responding to peer feedback, and other expectations are at the discretion of the instructor.
· You can expect feedback from the instructor within 48 to 72 hours from the Sunday due date.
Team Presentation: Health Care Payment System
Purpose: The objective of this group project is to create a comprehensive and engaging presentation on an aspect of the healthcare payment system, demonstrating your understanding of its criteria, parameters for implementation, and its impact on nursing practice.
Instructions:
· Select a specific aspect of the healthcare payment system.
· Conduct thorough research on the selected aspect, using current and credible sources. Your presentation should include the following components:
o Introduction: Briefly introduce the healthcare payment system and its importance.
o Overview: Provide a detailed overview of the selected aspect of the payment system.
o Criteria and Parameters for Implementation:
§ Explain the criteria for implementing this payment system.
§ Discuss the parameters and regulations governing its implementation
o Impact on Nursing Practice:
§ Analyze how this payment system affects nursing practice.
§ Consider aspects such as patient care, nursing workflows, documentation, and financial implications.
o Case Study/Example: Include a real-life example or case study to illustrate your points.
o Future Trends and Considerations: Discuss any anticipated changes or trends related to this payment system.
Submission Instructions:
· The PowerPoint presentation should be visually engaging, original work, and logically organized.
· Use visuals such as charts, graphs, and images to support your points. It should consist of 10-15 slides excluding the title and reference.
· The PowerPoint presentation should be clear and easy to read. Speaker notes expanded upon and clarified content on the slides.
· The PowerPoint presentation should be in APA format. Incorporate a minimum of 5 current (published within last five years) scholarly journal articles or primary legal sources (statutes, court opinions) within your work. References should be referenced according to APA style.
· This assignment will be assessed through Turnitin.
· Complete and submit the assignment by 11:59 PM ET on Sunday.
