Background
For this final writing assignment of the class, you will select, discuss and analyze a topic related to the future of terrorism. The following is a list of areas that you can examine as you develop a research-supported prediction of how terrorism may change in the near future:
• How may the tactics and tools of terrorism change in the future? Be sure to provide a discussion of contemporary tactics to establish a baseline for your predictions.
• What technology or technologies will have the greatest influence on the future of terrorism? How will these technologies enable or enhance the capability of terror organizations?
• How might recent global events affect or direct the future of terrorism? Examples you might discuss include the Corona virus pandemic, the October 7 attacks on Israel, or the attempted assassination of former President Trump.
Instructions
For each assignment, students are tasked with authoring a college-level writing work meeting the following criteria:
- The length of each paper shall be no less than five pages in length long, NOT INCLUDING a title page and a Reference page. NO abstract is needed for this assignment.
- Use a minimum of four academically appropriate resources in the generation of the work. DO NOT use Wikipedia, ask.com, e-how, or similar sites as primary sources. They can be used as starting points for research but should not be cited as references.
- The format of the paper will follow APA 7th guidelines and include a properly formatted title page, properly formatted in-text citations and an APA 7th reference page. References from academic sources published within 5 to 6 years.
This assignment is worth 10 points and is due on Saturday. For more specifics on how this will be graded, refer to the rubric provided.
